New Training Video button

Available with Main Office software version 6227 dated 11/03/17 Training videos are available for download. Agencies may download all available training videos. Select Training Videos from the Main menu screen. Select the “Download recent HHC3000 videos” button on the next screen to display. Download may take a moderate amount of time to complete the entire process. After the download is complete, all training videos will display. Highlight desired training video and select the Open Button. An additional screen will display where the agency can save the training video to a location on the agency computer. Enter the folder or directory location where the video is to be saved.

OASIS XML Files

Agencies will need to have Main Office Software Version 6212 dated 10/05/17 prior to submitting OASIS XML files to CMS. The HIPPS Version has been updated.

Current Treatments

The Current Treatments screen historically available in the Main office Software in Patients/ Therapies/ Current Treatment tab is now available in the Clinical Point of Care Software in the Managed Hosting Environment ONLY with Clinical Point of Care Software Version 2616 dated 10/02/17. The Treatments tab can be accessed from the Therapy button in the Patient Medical information area.

Home Health Aide Care Plan Enhancements for Hospice Services

Enhancements have been made to the Home Health Aide Care Plan with Main Office Software Version 6208 dated 10/02/17 and Clinical Point of Care Software Version 2616 dated 10/02/17. A new check box has been added by the Vital Signs to indicate Not Applicable. When marked the Vital Sign section will not be included on the print form. A new section has been added to the Other Service tab, Service Day Responsibility. The agency can indicate who will be responsible for care of the Patient on each day of the week. Options are Hospice or Family/Caregiver.

New Home Health Conditions of Participation Training Video is now Available

A new training video on the new Conditions of Participation is now available for viewing. The training video will review software enhancements to assist agencies in meeting the new Conditions of Participation requirements for Care Planning and Coordination, Patient Rights, Supervision to be implemented January 2018 and Infection Surveillance to be implemented July 2018. System Calculated Hospice Routine and Non-Routine Rates and Hospice Wage Index updates effective October 1, 2017

Agencies utilizing system calculated Hospice Routine and Non-Routine rates will need to have Main Office software to version 6203 dated 09/21/17 or later. All Agencies providing Hospice services will need to ensure they have Main office software version 6202 to receive the Hospice Wage Index updates. All rates and wage indexes will be effective October 1, 2017. Rates will be applied for charges dated 10/01/2017 or later.

ICD-10 Code Set Update for October 1, 2017

Agencies will need to have Main Office Software version 6202 dated 09/20/17 to receive the ICD 10 code set update. No additional action is needed in the main office software or Clinical Point of Care software users in the Managed Hosting environment. Server based Clinical Point of Care users should ensure that their software is updated to the current version and will need to synchronize the Clinical data through the Transmission and Download process. The ICD ‘check’ screen available in the patient medical information and 485 diagnosis screen has been updated to reflect new diagnosis and invalid ICD 10 codes as of 10/1/2017.

Supervisory Visit Documentation Updates

Agencies will need to have Main Office software version 6201 and Clinical Point of Care Software version 2611 dated 09/19/2017. Supervisory visits dated 10/01/2017 or later will have enhanced data entry fields. The Supervisory visit will contain three tabs for documentation, Patient response to care, Performance of the Staff person and updates to the Plan of Care. Questions have been reformatted. Additional data entry fields required by new Conditions of Participation effective Jan 2018 have been added. Warnings are also in place for blank responses to items designated as required in the new Conditions of Participation.
