Lock/Unlock OASIS – HIPPS Codes

Under Patient Activities where you can now lock and unlock OASIS assessments, we are now recording the HIPPS code on PPS billable assessments. This information is in addition to recording the person, date and time along with the reason if the assessment is being unlocked.

Server Side IP Update (Datapipe & Office System)

To resolve the data transfer problems with the datapipe and with obtaining HHC 3000 software updates, please perform the following steps:

  1. Download http://ip.hhc3000.com/ipupdate.exe
  2. Copy the file to your software folder (where swhhc.exe exists)
  3. Run ipupdate.exe from your software folder
  4. After the IP Update completes, please perform a normal system update using the yellow computer icon. As usual, this portion must be done while nobody is logged into HHC 3000.

Doing this should re-establish the ability to execute your Datapipe synchronization as well as do updates for the main HHC 3000 office system.

This replaces any previous updates to the Office Software side. Clinicians using the point of care software on their laptop will still need to obtain the clinical point of care updater to update their laptops from http://ip.hhc3000.com/clinicalupdate.exe

IP Update Instructions – Clinical Notebooks

The purpose of this posting is to inform you what needs to be done to the clinical notebooks so that they can begin transferring data through our new ftp site. These changes do not include the main office software. Instructions for the main office HHC3000 software and datapipe will be posted later today. Please note: This will allow the clinical notebooks to transmit, however, the information that they transmit will not be incorporated into the main system and new download files made available until after the update for the main system is made available later today. Despite this, we recommend obtaining the clinical notebook update as soon as possible on every notebook.

Users of the Clinical (Point of Care) software on the point of care laptops will need to obtain, run and install the file located here: http://ip.hhc3000.com/clinicalupdate.exe

This file must be downloaded and run to update the transfer utility. If running this utility on Windows Vista or Windows 7, you must run the file as an administrator by right-clicking on the file and selecting “Run as Administrator.” This is a one-time update. This update file/utility should be deleted after it is applied.

Other Information

Unfortunately, since changes were made that were outside of our control, we were forced to move quickly to limit this and future connectivity issues. While we were making the transition to the new service provider, we have also upgraded our security infrastructure to include encrypted data transfer via a protocol called SFTP. While we have been using HIPAA satisfying encryption on our files from the start, this change further enhances our ability to protect the transmission services we provide through the datapipe and regular HHC 3000 updates. The upgrade from standard FTP to SFTP protects the actual communication of the encrypted file (as well as the actual encrypted file itself). This expands our ability to isolate our services from disruption, taking us beyond the existing protection against data theft. While this shouldn’t require significant changes, a very small number of firewalls may block SSH communication on port 22. If your firewall does this, please open port 22 to 205.186.143.73. We will be using this for SFTP transactions.

Status of Ftp Transfer Issues

We are continuing to work as quickly as we can to get ftp connection issues resolved.  We hope to have software updates available within the next few hours.

In the meantime if you need to get data transferred to or from your laptops, if your laptop users are able to come into the office we will be able to walk you through doing network transfers instead to retrieve information.  Please give us a call if you need help doing ‘via local area network’ transfers instead of ftp ones.

Unfortuantely we were forced into a change in ftp providers yesterday when we found out after the fact that our current ftp provider had a change in policies that they began enforcing over the weekend.  As soon as updates are available we will post another message.  If you have any questions or would like assistance in doing network transfers please give us a call.

URGENT MESSAGE – CLINICAL USERS & SOFTWARE UPDATES

We are having major problems with the internet provider that houses our ftp site which is used for the clinical software transfers and for HHC3000 software updates. We are in the process of moving to a new provider which we hope to have completed today. The new provider has guaranteed us the same type of circumstances will not happen with their services. This is a very unusual situation which we hope to have corrected as soon as possible. We appologize for your inconvenience.

When we are finished with the move we will let you know. At that time you will need to update the main HHC3000 software and all notebook computers used for the clinical that use the internet for transfers. There will be special instructions for the initial update which we will post on this site.

New Main System/Clinical Updates Now Available

Several days ago we posted a message regarding the HHC3000 Clinical software version 747 update that was available.  This update also includes a fix for the issue a few agencies were periodically experiencing where the clinician on the laptop would get a ‘decompression’ error when trying to download from the ftp site to their laptop.

747 includes a correction for this error – please have your clinicians on laptops get an update as soon as possible if they have not already.  You will also need to do a HHC3000 (office/server software) update to version 4671 as soon as possible.

These are critical updates.  Please update your office side software and make sure that all clinicians on laptops get them updated as soon as possible.  If you are having trouble getting any of your laptops to update please call our office right away for assistance.

New HHC3000 Clinical Laptop update available

Please have your HHC3000 Clinical laptop software users update their laptops.  The new update version is 747.  The Data Transfer Utility will remain at version 746.

This update includes a fix for a some problem that a few agencies have been experiencing when importing from one visit note to another.

Critical HHC3000 Clinical Update

Please have all of your HHC3000 Clinical laptop software users update their HHC3000 Clinical software as soon as possible to the newest version.  This update is critical.

The update will upgrade the version/build in the HHC3000 Clinical to 744 and 746 in the Data Transfer Utility.
