Upper Extremity Strength / ROM

The Upper Extremity Strength ROM documentation screen has been added to the musculoskeletal section of all Physical Therapy documents (PT Assessment, PT Progress Note, PT Visit, PT Functional Assessment, and General Follow Up) with Clinical version 2210 and Main software version 5448.  Enhancements to the screens will continue for the next several version updates.

PT Goals

Enhancements are being made to Goals in PT documents.  Additional data entry fields have been added to allow entry of a time frame promoting measurable goals.  Several additional goals have been made available.  Goals are now organized by categories such as balance, gait, and transfers.  These enhancements will start to be available with clinical version 2210 and main office software version 5448.  Enhancements to the screens will continue for the next several version updates.

New HCFA 1500 Health Insurance Claim Form

Version 5425 has the modifications necessary to print the new HCFA 1500 insurance claim form.  We added “HCFA 1500 – 2014 (new)” as a new invoice format  under insurance companies.  We also kept the prior HCFA 1500 format which is labeled ” HCFA 1500 – 2005 (old).”  These same options are available as invoice format overrides when generating invoices.

Hospice Medication Refill Import

Available with software version 5424 is a Hospice Medications Import Screen in the Utilities Module of the Main Office Software.  Hospice Medication refills in  CSV or XLS (Microsoft Excel) format can now be imported to create a Billing Sheet for each Hospice Patient with Medication refills.  Agencies will still need to set up appropriate service codes for refill type as this is a required column mapping item.  Each Patients Billing Sheet will be included in invoicing to meet the new Hospice Billing Requirements.

New System Security Setting for the Clinical Point of Care Software

A new Clinical Software override is now available to prevent changes to a Patient’s Demographics Screen by Clinical Point of Care Users.  The override can be found in the Main Office software by selecting the Other Setup Button, Clinical Setup Tab.  The override is listed in the Patient Demographics Section.

ICD-10 Testing

For those agencies registered for ICD-10 Testing Week March 3 – 7, 2014 – the ability to create a test file for billing with ICD-10 codes will be available with software versions dated 2/28/14 or later.  The ICD-10 tab in Patients Diagnosis screens will need to be completed for each Patient to be included in the test file.  An additional check box to create an ICD-10 test file has been added to the PPS Billing Screen.

Hospice Billing Change – Billing Sheet

Changes to the Billing Sheet will be available on software versions dated 2/28/14 or later.  Additional data entry fields for Non-injectable medication refill NDC codes, quantity refilled, and units of measure qualifier.  This information will be required for the new Hospice Reporting requirements.

ICD-10

With Version 5411 an additional tab is now available for ICD-10 code assignment in the Patient Diagnosis screen.  The ICD-10 code set will be automatically available with no required import.  ICD-10 codes will not pull to reporting or invoicing at this time.
