Patient Authorizations Changes

On the authorizations screen under patient maintenance we added a “Authorizations vs Visit Only” column to the balance displays.  The existing balance column includes scheduled and unverified visits.  The new column includes only verified visits when calculating the balance.  This was a request from one of our agencies.

Configurations with AVG Free: Unsupported

Please be advised, that recent versions of AVG Free have introduced an incompatibility between AVG Free and the standard FTP protocol during long FTP transactions. This incompatibility may result in failures of FTP transactions such as obtaining updates or synchronizing clinical data in the clinical software.

Due to a lack of configuration options in the Free version of AVG’s anti-virus software, the only way to circumvent the incompatibility is to uninstall the AVG Free software. If you are utilizing AVG Free, we recommend that you select a different anti-virus software that can allow for the configuration necessary for long FTP transactions to be allowed.

If you are not experiencing problems with FTP transactions (obtaining updates or transferring data to/from the clinical software) and you are using AVG Free, you may continue to use AVG Free until such time that you do experience these problems. You are likely not experiencing these problems yet because you are still using an older version of their software.

Transfer Discharged/Not Discharged Blank Comprehensive Assessment Forms merged into one form

Available on version 4528 we have merged the Transfer Not Discharged and Transfer Discharged Blank Comprehensive OASIS Assessment forms into one form that includes the M0100 question options so you can notate it as either a 6 – Transfer Not Discharged or a 7 – Transfer Discharged Assessment.

Fields added to Blank Comprehensive Assessment Forms

Available on version 4528 we have added Other Pertinent Diagnosis and Surgical Diagnosis code fields to the Start of Care, Resumption of Care, Recertification and Other Follow-up Blank Comprehensive Assessment forms to match the fields on the Comprehensive Assessment screens.

Patient Contract Rates – Revenue Code Override

Under Patient Insurance / Patient Contract Rates we added override codes for the revenue code and HCPCS code that can be used with the insurance & service combination.  If not blank, these override codes will supersede what has been established in Services.

New Lab Draw Report for Clinical Users

Available on Version 4527 is a new report under the Clinical tab in Historical Reports added at the request of our Clinical Software users.  This report is for getting a list of Lab Draws recorded on Comprehensive Assessments and Visit Assessments from within the Clinical Laptop software.

Insurance Office Filter added to the Patient Register

Available on version 4527 – we have added an Insurance Company Office filter to the Patient Register to be used with the ‘Serviced (Visited)’ filter so that you can run the Patient Register for patients with visits during a certain time frame for any insurance company attached to that particular office (based on the Office field in Insurance Company setup).

Note: Do not use the Patient Office filter field at the top of the screen when using this option – The Insurance Company Office filter field will appear on screen right next to the ‘Serviced (Visited)’ fields when the ‘Serviced (Visited)’ Date fields are filled out.
