Please have your clinicians update their laptops to version 719.  This includes a new field in the Key Observations area of the visit note to notate that they have reviewed mediations with the patient and a correction for an OASIS error check on M2002.

PPS Status Report – Episode End Dates

The PPS Status Report can now be run for a range of episode ending dates.  In addition, if a episode would normally end after the end date you selected, but the patient was discharged within the date range selected for the report, the assessment for that patient will also show.

Skilled Scheduling – Employee Dropdown S.S. #

At the request of one of our agencies, the social security number that appeared in the employee drop-down window when adding or editing a schedule in Skilled Scheduling has been removed.  If you want the social security number to appear there is a system override under “Other Set-Up” that will allow you to do this.

System Security – Employee Timesheets

In System Security you can now setup a user’s security as “0” = No Access for Employee Demographics , but allow access to Employee Time Sheets, Employee Requirements, or Employee Notes and the system will allow you into Employees from the main menu.  (In the past a “0” for Employee Demographics would prevent you from even going into the Employees section.) Inside the Employee screen the demographics screen will show only the employee name and id without having the ability to change them.  All other information normally on the demographics screen is hidden.  Tabs for the other sections such as time sheets will only be shown if allowed based upon the user’s security.  This change was the result of a request to be able to access employee time sheets without the user being able to see other sensitive employee information.

CAHPS Survey Reporting – Error Fix

A error in a recent change made for one of the CAHPS survey vendors cause the report to not include all of the patients that should have been included.  In some cases no patients were included.  This error has been fixed.

Billing – 7 Minute Rounding Rule for Billed Hours

Under Insurance Company/UB04 and 1500 there is a new check box labeled “Use 7 minute rounding rule for billed hours.”  If used, when the hours are entered on a visit, the system will round the billed hours (only) to the nearest quarter hour using the 7 minute rounding rule.  This will also allow for 15 minute units without fractions.  This was requested by an agency doing Ohio Passport billing.

Patient/Employee Schedule Sheet change

Available on version 4523 you will now have the ability to sort the Patient/Employee schedule sheets by employee so that if an employee has multiple patients that they are seeing then that employee’s sheets will print out one after each other instead of having to sort all the pages manually by employee after they are printed.

Employee Time Sheet change

Available on version 4523 is a slight change to the Employee Timesheet that when you print it using the ‘Include Patient Phone/Address’ information that it also will show the Patient ID number.

Comprehensive Assessment error correction
