Update on OASIS C1-ICD9 Assessment Print Forms

We are currently in the process of completing updates to the OASIS C1- ICD9 Print Assessment Forms in the Main office software.  We anticipate all of the Print assessment forms will be completed within the next 2 days.  Allegheny Messages will be updated when the print forms are available.   The OASIS C1-ICD 9 Print Assessment forms are currently available in the Clinical Point of Care Software versions dated 1/5/2015 or later.

OASIS and OASIS C1-ICD9 File Submission Update

As a reminder, submission of OASIS data  to CMS will not be available through the state system from 6:00 PM E.T  December 26, 2014 till 12:00 AM E.T.  January 1, 2015.  As of January 1, 2015 all OASIS files must be submitted to CMS via the national OASIS Assessment Submission and Processing System (ASAP system).  Allegheny Software Publishers, Inc. starting January 2, 2015 will have the capability to create agency OASIS files in the correct format for submission to the ASAP system.  Both OASIS C and OASIS C1- ICD9 will need to be submitted in the xml file format.  The utility screen accessed from the Main Menu screen of HHC 3000 titled, OASIS XML files 2015 will generate the OASIS file in the correct format.  Agencies should not use the Create OASIS files utility after January 1, 2015 to generate OASIS files to submit to CMS.  The State file option will be inactivated.  The Create OASIS files button will be renamed OASIS B1 records and will still allow agencies to create files to submit OASIS data in other formats that may be required by OASIS scrubbers.

OASIS C1- ICD9 Update

Allegheny Software Publishers, Inc. will have OASIS C1- ICD9 documents available for completion as of January 1, 2015.  OASIS C1-ICD9 will be available in the Billing Record Only format in the Main Office software and the Comprehensive Assessment format in the Main Office and Clinical Point of Care software.  Clinicians working in the Clinical Point of Care software will be able to change an OASIS C Comprehensive Assessment to OASIS C1-ICD9 if the M0090 date crosses the January 1, 2015 time point.

Update for Clinical Point of Care Software Bug

Clinical Point of Care Software users who have received a software error when adding a physician order should update to the most current software version 2266, dated 11/10/2014.  The latest clinical software version will correct this error and allow for data entry of Physician Orders.

Corrected Electronic Remittances Bug

Software Version 5589 released 11/7/2014 will correct the current bug in Electronic Remittances.  Please ensure your software version is 5589 or later before attempting to post electronic remittances.

Software bug when Posting Electronic Remittances

Due to a recent change made to Electronic Remittances to accommodate posting larger remittance files there is a current software bug.  Version updates dated 11/7/2014 or later will correct the bug, allowing posting of electronic remittances.

Required Update for Clinical Point of Care Software

Regular server based Main office and Clinical Point of Care software users who are utilizing the Electronic Approvals feature and marking assessments in the main office for Re-approval by clinicians in the Clinical Point of Care software will need to update the Clinical Software to the most current Clinical software version 2261,  dated 11/5/2014.  The update will correct a bug that has occurred in the software during the download of the assessment marked for re-approval that prevented the patient diagnosis from being included in the assessment data downloading back to the clinical point of care computer.

Additional Changes to the Cert Period Control Board

Additional changes have been made to the Cert Period Control Board with software version updates dated 10/27/14 or later.  The display of each discipline specific documentation will now be controlled via filter options found across the top of the control board screen.  The Therapy/Nursing and HHA/MSW Comm. buttons will no longer be available.  Upon selection of a discipline filter, the selected discipline activities will display across the entire width of the control board screen.  The additional width will accommodate the new check box columns allowing a visual reference for activities with  Addendums, Attachments, and/or Oxygen Risk Assessment documentation.  A check in the O2 column for an activity  indicates the Oxygen Risk assessment documentation was completed.  A check in the Add column for an activity indicates there is an addendum to the documentation.  A check in the Att column indicates there is an attachment available with the activity.  To view the attachment, highlight the activity and select the Att button found just to the right of the list of discipline specific activities.  Users can then select the actual attachment to view.  The O2, Add, and Att check box columns are also now available in the Patient Activity Screen.  The CIS (Create Initial Schedules) button for each discipline has been moved to the bottom left corner of the discipline specific activity display screen.
