In the PPS assessment report found in billing, we have added an additional type of report called Face to Face Information. It will show the face to face date entered into the PPS billing information screen. This variation of the report also looks to find a face to face 485 or a face to face physician order that has a matching SOC date and shows the face to face encounter date on the document.
Currently there is nothing in the system requiring a face to face date to be present for PPS billing. The face to face encounter date on the PPS billing screen is more for information purposes. Users can enter the face to face date in the PPS Billing Information screen. When in PPS billing and you select to edit the PPS billing information there is a field where you can enter the face to face encounter date. To help the billing person determine what the face to face encounter is, the document review area will show the face to face date noted on the applicable physician order or 485.
